The Pitch Perfect projects have been completed now and most learners and teachers enjoyed the process. Our learners came up with amazing ideas which included websites to raise awareness and inform people about issues such as pollution and anxiety; Instagram profiles; short films; and even a rubbish sculpture in the shape of a whale tale to highlight the littering problem.
During week 4 each class did their final pitch presentations to their class and the class voted for the best pitch. The following week these pitches were presented to the whole year 9 cohort in the auditorium and a panel of judges voted for the winners.
The winner was Ethan Johnston who pitched on the proposed changes at the Plaza. Second were Flynn and Lucas who created the rubbish sculpture and third were Liam and Theo with their idea for more durable scooter metal. It was fantastic to see our boys completely dominate this project! Normally it is the girls who dominate these competitions.
